The BanglaTollywood’s number one heroine Rituparna Sengupta will play a modern-day Charulata in Agnidev Chatterjee’s ‘Charulata 2011’. Agnidev is is remaking the classic tale of extramarital love with a modern twist. The role of Rituparna is of a married woman who falls for a much younger man, to be played by Samadarshi. Casting for the husband is yet to be finalised. The film stars Rituparna Sengupta, Samadarshi Dutta and Bratya Basu. Agnidev confirmed the news saying, “We start shooting for the film on 4th September'2011 and plan to release it by end-November. If "Arekti Premer Galpo" was about the other sex, Rang Milanti is simply just about young people. The film is about four central characters – Rik (Gourabh Chakrabarty), who is  a software engineer, Tito (Indrasish), who is a very passionate filmmaker and  who aims to make it big as a director, Laden (Tanaji Dasgupta) who is a skilled craftsman and economically challenged (lives at Mullickbazar) and last of all DJ (Gourabh Chatterjee) who is actually a DJ at a night club.
