Bollywood has been stormed by item boys, who have given the item girls a run for their money. Total Filmy brings you the top five item boys of the industry.

King Khan, the first item boy of Bollywood, can definitely be called the King of item numbers. His first item number for the film ‘Shakti’ was a rage. The item song ‘Ishq Kamina’, in which SRK sizzled with Aishwarya Rai, kick started the era of item boys.Karan Johar’s ‘Kaal’ again saw the star in a hot number with Malaika Arora. ‘Billu Barber’ had two item songs namely ‘Marjaani Marjaani’ and ‘Love Tera Hit Hit’ and again it was King Khan gyrating to the music with the sexy Kareena and the sultry Deepika Padukone.

The hot favourite of the masses and the bad boy of Hindi cinema, Salman is obviously the most popular item boy. Salman woos the audiences and fans with everything he does and his item numbers are no exception. There may be better dancers, but Salman is definitely the most rocking entertainer. Farah Khan’s ‘Tees Maar Khan’ had Salman, Katrina and Akshay dancing to the tunes of ‘Wallah Wallah’, perhaps the most rollicking item number.

The latest and the hottest item boy to join the league is the B-town Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan. An outrageously hilarious number ‘I hate you’ from ‘Delhi Belly’ makes Aamir the latest addition to the list of item boys. This number, inspired by the movies of the 80’s, has Aamir Khan imitating the likes of Mithun Chakraborty.

Hrithik Roshan: Arguably the best dancer in Bollywood, Hrithik also has an item number to his credit.His moves in the item song in ‘Krazyy 4’ became a rage, and though the movie did not make an impact at the box-office, Hrithik’s song scaled the charts.

मर junior Bachchan has a few worthy achievements to his credit and being on the list of the hottest item boys is one of them.
We first saw Abhishek in a rocking item in ‘Rakht’. ‘One Love’, based on an English number, was one of the most catchy item songs. Abhishek had the youth of the country dancing to his tunes with this song.

The hottest and the more popular item number to Abhishek’s credit, however, is ‘Mehbooba O Mehbooba’ from ‘Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag’. Like the original version, this song too proved to be an instant hit, and Abhishek became one of the hot item boys of Bollywood.
These top stars of the industry, shaking a leg to groovy item numbers in different ‘avatars’, has gone down so well with the audiences that more and more such songs are being added to the movies.

Ranbir Kapoor had also turned an item boy for a funny number in ‘Chillar Party’. Such item songs with our heroes shedding their inhibitions and giving the audiences maximum entertainment have so far worked very well for the respective movies. They have brought more audiences to the theatres, and added that extra sizzle factor to the movies.
